Alexander got up from the chair and stood up straight, looking down a little at Delilah. “Hey...” He greeted her as sweetly as he could. Without thinking, or trying to stop himself, Alex’s eyes dropped from her eyes to her clothes. He had always been taught that it was inappropriate to stare at ladies, and had no idea why he was now. To make things a little worse, her scent flowed around her strongly and he could smell it. Especially after she combed her fingers through her hair.
“You look nice.” He said in defense of himself staring at her. Alexander’s eyes were again focusing on her big and dark eyes. He smiled again, not knowing what to say or do next. Yes, even after being alive, immortal, for so long he still has no idea of what to say to a beautiful girl. – especially one that smells so rare.
“So...” he started, looking around the cafe this time. Delilah’s mother was keeping an eye on them. Alexander flashed a friendly smile before continuing his sentence. “Are you ready?” He asked as he took a small step backwards and gestured towards the door.
Alexander was nervous for many reasons. First he was unsure of whose house he will be and, second was if he would actually be spending time with Delilah, the third reason was obvious – May would scare her off if she was there. Alexander would have crossed his fingers now to wish she was at a different party. The last, most important reason was that he didn't know if he would be able to control his anger or his thirst.
