She smiled when he complimented her. She called herself weird. He didn't think she was weird. Maybe a little boyish, but not weird.
"I just wanted to be normal, to live a normal life. No 6 AM lessons, no 13 hour rehearsals, just me and my thoughts, because I didn't have any friends, enjoying my years of high school, even though they were awful because I didn't have any friends."
"Well I'm glad you choose to be "normal". Because now you can be "extraordinary"! I mean our lives are in danger...but...you get what I'm trying to say right?"
He looked over at her with another smile. He was stumbling over his words still slightly flustered from when his mother was brought up.
"You can be more here then you could have ever been anywhere else. And I mean, you drew so much water on your way to help when you thought I was hurt. Your skilled with your ability too. You can be the best here! And most important of all, you have friends this time. You've got Kael. And.......well I guess I'm kind of in between friend and something else right now aren't I?"
