Lauri chuckles at her friend's rushed reply. Just the reaction she was expecting from him. Lauri knew how much he liked Jasper, which made teasing him about her all the more entertaining.

"The price doesn't even matter."

"Calm down, Mr. Serious.", she said, deepening her voice in a dramatic way and making a pouty face at him before letting out a small laugh and picking up her BLT. It only took her maybe five minutes to finish the first one, but the second one was proving more challenging. When she was a young teenager she could finish four of them down without a problem, but now just eating one would fill her up. In fact, she used to eat a lot when she was a preteen, but now she could only manage lunch and dinner and rarely breakfast. Now I'm making myself feel like an old lady..

"What are we going to do for the rest of the day? Should we just head back?"

She took a large bite of her second BLT, chewing it for a moment before swallowing it and taking her time to have a long sip of her soda. Arthur hadn't eaten much of his sandwich, most likely because it had gone cold. He was always such a picky eater while Lauri on the other hand didn't have a problem choosing something to eat.

She stuffed a few fries into her mouth and leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms up behind her neck and smiling after swallowing her food. "Have you already forgotten? For shame! We haven't bought my alcohol yet. So we're going to do that and then we can head ba-" Her word were cut off as someone bumped into her chair, causing her to fall forward a little with a small grunt. She turned her head, ready to curse out the idiot who decided to ram into her, but her gaze quickly softened as she realized it was just a couple of kids. A young girl and her older brother more likely, no more than six and ten. "I'm sorry, Miss! My sister didn't see you." The boy said apologetically. "Yes, sorry..", the younger girl said shyly, holding onto her brothers arm nervously.

"Don't worry about it." Lauri replied with a friendly smile, guessing they'd caught a glimpse of her menacing glare before she bounced back to her nice self. "Just be more careful running around like that."

The boy nodded at her, nudging his sister along with a comforting smile as they continued their game of tag. "Wonder where their parents are, letting a couple of kids go off alone like that.." Lauri said with a frown, looking over to Arthur when she suddenly she noticed the two children were heading across the street and she watched at the little boy went back for his sisters purse just as the light turned green. "Arthur!!" She said loudly, jumping from her seat and letting the chair fall over behind her as she pushed away from the table, her shoes slamming onto the cement just as a truck sped passed her.
