Hearing snickers from the front row, she looked over to see a few cheerleaders obviously laughing at her. Sending them a quick glare, she turned back to the teacher. Opening her mouth to apologize, she was cut off by the teacher. Whom oh-so fabulously decided that Derek should be the one who led her to where she was supposed to go.
She probably could have curled up and died right there.
The comments coming from the back of the room caused her to roll her eyes, though she knew she couldn't fight the crimson rising in her cheeks. As soon as Derek got nearer to her, she turned and moved quickly towards the door, wanting to get out of there as quickly as possible. Once they were both outside though, with the door shut behind them, she offered the boy a grateful smile. "It's not that they don't understand, it's that most the girls here let them treat them however they please." She shrugged, no matter how much she wished she could blame everything on the male species, it wasn't fair. The girls at this school were just as terrible.
