I took glances at Evie with a blank look on my face as we got closer to the theater. I looked around and saw all the different employees of the different stores, gift shops, the house of mirrors, and all the crew for the small cruise ships. Once we were in front of the theater I stopped and looked around. It looked dark and glumly, that meant we might not have much work todo today. I turned to face Evie and Bastin when Evie said something about meeting up sometime during break. I smiled lightly. "Yeah, I'd like that." I said softly, not quietly, softly with a lot of heart and smiled again. "Well," I started, looking for one of them to the other. "I'll see ya' guys later." I ended with a small wave and slight nod and a small smile to Evie before walking over to the doors. As I walked I gently took my hood off so I wouldn't mess up my hair, which looked like a dark black color instead of the tented dark redish-brown color it would look like in the sun.
I walked over to the snack bar and started talking to one of my so called 'friends', Loriel. I took off my jacket and put it behind the counter of the snack bar. I then grabbed my red vest that had my name tag on it off the peg on the wall and put it on. As Loriel talked to me, I looked back over at Evie. I'm not even sure what to call the expression that was on my face. I was smiling very slightly and softly, and my eyes were a little wide and were getting a little watery. I'm not even sure if I was happy that we might meet up during break or if I'm nervous about it. I don't even know. I'll just remind myself to flash her a smile every now and then when I see her. Yeah, that's the plan for now. Baby steps, Danny, baby steps.
