Kat didn't reply, she was already asleep. In her dreams she was literally on fire, but her body wasn't being harmed. It was everything inside that was being fried, and it hurt worse than anything she had ever experienced. Was it going to be like this once the pain set in? When she was really..dying? Was she already dying? It was terrifying, she was eighteen, thoughts of death and the "afterlife" and eternity shouldn't be going through her head.
Five hours later she woke up, barely able to hold back a scream. Sitting up, Kat pulled her legs up and hugged them to her chest, rocking back and forth. "G-Gale..Gale-" She was shaking, as was her voice, and tears threatened to fall.
