Chris watched her carefully as she began to slowly step back and her fists clenched tightly. After several seconds his shadow katana dispersed and fell back to the ground and rejoined his shadows. His expression softened up and he smiled towards her.
"Well thats a good enough answer for me. I apologize for the threat, but i must protect my community from all dangers. The unchanged and even some Changed attack us."
He sighed as he thought of past experiences, and than he looked to his left to see Skylar leaning on his shoulder with her permanent smile. His smile slowly faded as he stared at her, unmoving nor caring.
"I am not an armrest! And what the hell was that timing?!"
He began to yell out of annoyance at her, but he never meant any harm from it. Ever since she entered the community, Skylar's constant cheerfulness and bad timing has become a pleasant nuisance in his life.
