Jonathan listened quietly to Rose as she spoke. As always he didn't reply or respond much to her comments. That was his personality, after all, a man of few, or in best case scenario, no words. Then came the insulting remark to Ali by one of the other students. Miss Fieldings sighed. The only sign of his dislike, however, was a frown. As Miss Fieldings suggested he deal with it and left, he stood up, picked up his food tray, and walked out. He dropped it to the dish ladies on his way outside.

Once he got out into the cool morning air, he sat down on the stairs, and lit the cigarette. The morning air cleared his head. He closed his eyes for a moment, inhaling a fix of nicotine. He smoked in silence for several minutes. As an orphan raised in one of the shittiest orphanages in Nigeria, one where he had to beat the living crap out of other orphans to get them to leave him alone, he hated bullies, and he hated people looking down on others. More to the point, some of the youngsters in the rehab acted like stupid brats, and failed to see why they were there.

He let out a sigh, shaking his head. As he flicked away the cigarette and stood up, he watched it race all the way across the fifty meter courtyard at high speed, and slam into a tree on the other side. Then he turned around and stepped back inside, beginning to make his way back to the cafeteria. He stopped for a moment to take a look in the mirror, making sure his suit jacket was just right. Then he walked back into the cafeteria.

He expected Miss Fieldings to deal with most of the students, but most of the mentors were unwilling to deal with people like Ali - that was why they had security guards. Jonathan, however, was not, for obvious reasons. Seeing that he preferred silence himself, he saw no reason not to be Ali's helpful mentor once in a while. He approached the young man, and seeing that he had finished his food, said:

"Therapy, Mr Wattson. Bring the tray."

He walked with Ali the whole way to the dishing room, and then led him out towards the therapy room they were going to be in today. He placed another cigarette in his mouth, but didn't light it, just let it rest there as a reminder to him of what was waiting after the therapy session. He wasn't too fond of those himself either, as he was well aware also the teenagers were not.
