Travelling with friends was never a first preference of mine; the claustrophobic rooms, small tight spaces, the complaints of rough sleep and never enough toilet paper. All the joys in travelling in one small, tight spaced boat. The very least they did was come to wish me luck in the Academy.
I looked out to the dock we were entering, a smile reaching across my face to see land big enough to hold all eight of us! I turned to face my company, holding out my arms.
"Well, here we are," I grabbed my closest friend in for a hug, for one last time. "Are you sure you guys don't want to stay a little while?" I asked. All the while travelling to the Republic I had nagged my friends if they would stay just for a small while with me, but they all would rather just stay home.
"You know that's impossible Dani," Tracey smiled and hugged me back.
The boat softly knocked the side of the dock, urging me to put my feet on stable ground. I sighed slightly before searching for my little bag and walking off the boat.
I turned and faced the boat, eight smiling faces and several waving hands gesturing good-byes.
Excitement crawled up my spine as I grabbed a piece of paper out of my back pocket which told me the way to the Academy.
