So there is chocolate cake. James didn't exactly like having information sprung on to him like this, especially when it made him look like he was in the wrong. Either way, he brushed it off, not letting it bother him too much. Ever cautious, the Paterson closed the door after Sean had stepped in, then joined his brothers as Eli pulled out the familiar sketchpad. He wasn't sure if the others did, but James always took these images rather seriously. Never was he found staring at them as they hung on the fridge, but they were always on his mind, or on his phone. Technology had its benefits after all.

Once Eli finally found the page, James took a long look before speaking, picking out what he could from the drawing. He wondered at times how his younger brother dealt with these visions, especially ones like these that were more foreboding. It was just another argument against their powers, or supposed gifts if one is being optimistic. They were better off without them, all of them. He glanced up from the sketchpad to Eli's face just as the young man grew more anxious, dimming the volume of his voice in fear. Letting his gaze linger for a little too long, James eventually leaned back, having moved closer when their conversation grew quiet.

"Get rid of it." He advised, not indicating clearly whether he would keep his silence or not on the matter. The pale haired Paterson was not visibly distressed, his expression always hard to read, but within he felt a festering curiosity. Who were these men? When will this happen? Where could he find them? The questions went on and on, preoccupying his mind and consequently, distanced himself from the others.

After a moment or two, he reappeared into the conversation with a "Let us know." before moving over to the few baked goods sitting on the counter. Grabbing a rag, he covered one hand in order to lift the still cooling tray and departed, knowing he had nothing more to contribute to the discussion. If anyone was going to comfort the nervous sheep, it would be the friendly dog.
