It didn't take too long for Arien's keen eyesight to pick out an anomaly in the collapsed manor ruins. Surrounded by remains of what might once have been a bookcase, or might just have been a regular door was a stairwell. Arien looked over to Alan, beckoning him. "Looks like you were right," he called, "A stairway down into the deep dark... Good thing I have a lighter."
The vampire waited for Alan to join him, extending a hand to the other man in order to lead him down onto the steps, flicking the lighter on to give them some small amount of light as they descended into the murky blackness.
"I should really have brought a torch..." he murmured.
