"Oh Ellie we're going to miss you so much! How long is it again? 10 weeks? That's so long! Are you sure you're packed enough? Do you have your retainer? Oh man, did we forget to pack it? Please tell me you have it! Do you?"
"Yes Mom," Ellie lied.
"Well then I guess you're ready to go," Ellie's mom pulled into the dirt driveway and rolled the car into the parking lot.
"Love you Mom," Ellie said as she jumped out of the car and walked towards the trunk to get her suitcases.
"Love you too sweetie! Don't forget to write us!"
"I won't forget," Ellie smiled and stopped at her mother's open window and kissed her on the cheek.
After a few more goodbyes Ellie stepped onto the path that said "Main Office this way!". She held the paperwork her mother already filled out and signed. She pulled her two suitcases behind her trying not to show how difficult it was to pull them both at the same time. They kept bumping into each other and tipping over. Finally she got to the main office and handed in her paperwork. After a few minutes of reading the paperwork over, the secretary gave her a map of the camp and a hand book of rules.
"Thank you, uhm," Ellie looked for the woman's name tag but couldn't seem to find it.
"Miss Sullivan."
"Well thanks, Miss Sullivan."
Ellie walked out of the main office, lugging her suitcases behind her. After a few minutes of stopping to catch her breath, Ellie finally got to her cabin.
It had a beautiful view of the lake and it looked very cozy. She was excited to get in and unpack. Hopefully she'll be able to get a top bunk.
After taking two trips to get her suitcases up the stairs of the cabin, she finally opened the door and walked inside. It was all wood and had nice bunk beds that could fit three mattresses. It had one single bed in the middle of the room which she figured that was the cabin instructor's bed, but she wasn't sure.
She saw a girl with bright green hair at the top of one bunk bed.
"Hiya! I'm Ellie," she smiled and proceeded to the other bunk bed so she could take the remaining top bunk. She opened one suit case and it was full of blankets and a pillow. She put down a colorful quilt and a soft purple pillow. That way nobody would try to take her bunk.
