The hooded figures didn't seem perturbed by Ryan's growling. Either they were just that stoic or it was because this was the dream world. Whatever the reason, the man making a move for Avery did stop short, more because Ryan moved in front of him than anything else.
"Step away, child," The archer commanded again, his now booming voice echoing throughout the forest like a disturbing theatrical production with amazing acoustics. "This is a Fae. Do you know what it has done?"
"It killed my boy!" One of the hooded figures barked, voice tinged by a desperate sort of mix of hatred and sorrow. The kind of sound that broke your heart to hear.
"This Fae has killed this land's children, plagued the livestock, attacked travelers. It is a danger and it must be punished."
