Ryan didn't move when he told him to step away, nor did he pay attention to the way his voice changed. He was fairly used to dreams, even if this was more disturbing than most.Ryan did however, glance at the figure who said Avery killed his son. He sounded sad enough that Ryan would want to talk pity on him. If it wasn't his friends they were after. The hooded figure in front of Ryan began speaking again. "This Fae has killed this land's children, plagued the livestock, attacked travelers. It is a danger and it must be punished."
At this, Ryan's lips turned into a twisted grin, and he let out a short, bark like laugh. "Oh, so you're afraid of him then? Is that it? Wonderful," Ryan said, grin growing even wider. They saw Avery as a threat and wanted him gone. Now, that wasn't pure fear, but deep down he knew they must fear the Fae, of they wouldn't bother trying to hunt him down. "Dream or not, I'm not letting you touch him," Ryan said, grin disappearing, replaced with a blank look. The man was at arms length, and Ryan decided to do something stupid.
He reached out, and pulled back the hood before anyone had a chance to react.
