The demon in front of him had said. Reluctantly, Devan moved his hands to put his pistols back into their holsters while ignoring the child remark. Most demons say that to humans, anyway. They were usually older than Devan's race by several generations, minimum. He wasn't one to succumb to a demon's wishes- especially female ones- but this would at least save him the trouble of fighting.

"Any demon that disrupts the peace should be punished." Devan responded back, coldly. "I don't hunt a demon sitting down and picking his toenails. That's the only mercy I give them. Thus, I won't fight you unless you do something completely stupid or attack me." A voice in the back of his head whispered into his mind. that voice was the form of something like a sixth sense for demons, and that voice is telling him that matters are already being handled. Devan turned around and walked without a word. This was the second time this week that the exorcist had failed in exorcism, in any kind of way.
