Secondly, it sounds like Psychosis stopped making noises, so we can probably go back in and play some. In the interest of courtesy to them, even to Izzie, maybe we should try something...quieter. I'll turn down my amp, and we can try to do something like that one song, Sun Caravan or whatever. Rest assured, you've got a million steps up on every other bassist we've seen so far, something I'm sure Charlotte will agree with. The sooner we get in and do this last jam session, the sooner we can welcome you as a member, or at least put you on the payroll for studio time, and start the business of writing music and playing it. On that note, let's jam."

Waiting only an instant to see they understood, he fairly hopped inside, eager to get back to playing. As they passed the other practice room Ted glimpsed the members of Psychosis chatting idly. At least they seemed unlikely to get back to noising, which meant they could make some music. Inside the practice room, Ted quickly walked over to the case with the Hägstrom inside and pulled it out before turning to his pedalboard and unplugging the cable to run the guitar straight into the amp. He turned the volume and gain down, then played and listened to a few experimental notes. Satisfied, he turned to regard those who remained of his bandmates. At the moment Bey still had the plausibility of having gone to the bathroom or something similar, which reassured him some. He couldn't shake some darker suspicions, though.
