Plus, what was she going to study for? Art? No, Addie decided to just sit and relax for the remaining hour she had alone. Back in her old home, she would have been with friends, or maybe even Peter, her ex-boyfriend. She wondered what Peter was doing? How had he reacted last year when Addie had been whisked away suddenly, never to return? What had her parents done? Probably pretended she died, Addie snorted, remembering how little they had cared about her well-being. Now she finally understood. They knew someday this would need to happen, so they were just acting as parents until Addie's powers developed. Then they could send her away without a care in the world.

Addie entered the library silently, spying Jordyn in the back corner, she walked over to her roommate with a smile on her face. As she spotted Jordyn, that wave of negative emotion from earlier flowed over Addie again, causing her knees to weaken and her tablet to fall to the ground. Addie grabbed a chair for support, and this time used her powers simultaneously to pinpoint the emotions location, but the vibes she was getting were coming from everywhere, bouncing off the walls. Just as suddenly as the emotion had come, it left her, leaving a woozy, hollow feeling inside her. What was that? Addie thought, wondering just what was in store for the students at this academy.
