It always surprised Edei just how well her other bandmates handled… Nay, ignored Izzie’s antics. Without even batting an eye at the mano y mano verbal throwdown happening right outside in the hallway leading between the various parts of the studio, the towering Psychosis guitarist sparred with the smaller Cor Leonis guitarist and… No one gave a damn? Well hell, Edei was at least entertained by it all so she jumped up and wandered to the doorway, peering around the corner with a grin twisting her lips.

A few of the comments had her biting back laughter but her eyes widened and she scrambled back into the room with the two guys as soon as she saw Izzie shove Bey into the nearest wall. A resounding *thud* audible (which wasn’t much of a surprise considering that there was apparently no insulation anywhere) as Edei made her way to the furthest corner away from the doorway, settling down onto the floor with her bottle of Jameson. Sitting cross-legged, she shifted right back into the conversation about Vic even though it seemed a bit odd to her that the bass player for Cor Leonis was now a major topic of interest.

She nodded first to Cormy when he clarified that the grungy looking man had indeed been the one to teach her bass back in the day and tipping the bottle to her lips, she took another albeit smaller sip of her whiskey to calm Craig’s fears. Perhaps they hadn’t been out drinking together before? Her brow furrowed as she tried to recall past outings with her bandmates but she couldn’t seem to remember hitting up bars with any of them… yet. She’d have to rectify that.

Tilting the bottle in Craig’s direction, she grinned and shrugged. “Hitting up the bar scene is one of my few hobbies and I didn’t want to be one of those giggling drunk girls dangling all over the first dude to buy me a drink so I learned to suck back shots with the best of ‘em.”

Then drinking segued back to Vic again and she paused, trying to plot out how she would answer the questions surrounding him and his disappearance. It was a tragic story and not exactly hers to tell. “Not so weird… Really.” Wow, that totally cleared things up for them! Good job, Edei. She taunted herself and a puzzled look crossed her features as she tried to clarify.

“There was an… accident.” Well, fuck. That wasn’t any better… Plus, it wasn’t like Vic was going to bring up the subject with complete strangers anytime soon… Right? So maybe telling them would head off any weird conversations in the future.

“His house caught fire and his father and sister were trapped inside. Firefighters could only get to his mother and they pulled her out but she just kept screaming that she wished she was dead too. Ended up taking her… away. Vic was left pretty much alone after that.”

Wow, that sounded way more depressing when you said it out loud. So, she tried to change the subject though there was no way to smoothly to transition from that to, well, anything.

“So… Are we writing songs? Playing? Having a fashion show of Cormy and I in the latest dresses for the amusement of everyone involved?”
