Luke jumped back a little when Mariah smacked the spider, but laughed anyways. "Yeah, I can agree with you there..." Luke said, poking the pancakes on his plate. They looked as dry as the desert. Mariah asked Luke why he was here. He gives a sigh. "Well, five weeks ago, I was in my room with a piece of paper, back in California. Something in my brain just kind of...clicked, and I focused on the paper. A ray of light shot from my hands and ignited the paper. Of course, they say I imagined all that. I know I didn't, but I don't dare try again while I'm here. I will eventually, though. Why are you here?" Luke asked, glad that Mariah was talking.
