βEri Soluce, pleasure... running into you.β
Kael couldn't help but laugh at the jape. At least Eri had a bit of a sense of humor, even in the situation they were now forced into with this deadly game of Chess. As she continued on, answering the question Kael had posed, he began to wonder what other kinds of people or creatures would be participating in this game alongside them. More importantly, who or what they would be up against as well. So far, he had been lucky enough to run into Eri, or rather she ran into him, but a member of his own side nonetheless. The tables could be drastically turned if he ran into an opposing member this early. Eri herself looked normal enough though, but he was living proof that you could look normal, but still have a very unique lineage. Moderately living proof, he thought. I died, so what does that make me now...?
Eri got another look on her face just then. He didn't know exactly what it was just yet, but he decided to himself that this girl may actually be worth sticking around. At least, for the time being that is. She looked poised to ask him something, or at least make another jape. Kael couldn't begin to imagine what though, as that sharp tingling sensation returned again, this time though, it was too faint to echo the warning in time. Instead, he caught the flash of pause in the rain for a fraction of a second as something seemed to pass by the pair in the streets directly overhead. Much too quiet for comfort, some large reptile seemed to appear from behind the mists of the rain as it landed way too softly for its size, a calm and unfazed female sitting atop its back (Ormir-Ekuro). Kael raised an eyebrow at the friendly smile and nod he and Eri received from the woman. That was better than my first entrance... he thought.
Eri took a few quick steps to use himself as a makeshift barrier between her and the newcomer. βAβ¦ dragon? For real?β
"A dragon?" Kael said aloud to Eri. "Is that what that is? I thought dragons were supposed to be...." He stopped himself as he almost said 'impossible'. His mix of Arachne/Valkyr blood was an impossibility in itself, yet here he was. "...bigger..." And breathing fire, and eating people, and tearing down castles... He thought silently to himself. "Maybe she fed a lizard steroids and that's what she got..."
Kael generally tried to keep his voice a little lower, offending a woman riding a dragon or over-sized lizard or whatever probably wouldn't be the best thing to do. Yet if this was a dragon, there was no telling what other talents the woman may have. The woman looked more friendly than hostile at the moment, yet one never knew what the intentions of others might be. He decided to at least address the woman at least. "Yo! What do you feed that thing?!" He called out, suddenly realizing that he or Eri might be a suitable meal... "You know what? Nevermind. I don't really want to know that answer...."
