To do that, I'll have to beat every trainer I face, get those badges, and demolish the Elite Four, as well as capturing one of every Pokemon in this land. You have great fighting spirit, Sonny, and I would gladly travel with you."

He jumped back and assumed a fighting stance, with Charmander next to him in his own stance.
"But enough talk. I challenge you to battle, my Charmander vs. the Pokemon of your choice. Win or lose, we will both gain from this."
He got down and looked at Charmander.
"This could be tough, buddy, but even if you lose, I'll still be proud of you."
