Elsa wondered into the school grounds, disappointed to find that her walk to school had taken more time than she had expected. She would have little time to finish her homework now, perhaps if she rushed she might be able to finish a few questions before her first class started. She really hadn't meant to take so long getting to school, but she had dawdled, skimming through one of her books as she walked. She had, naturally, managed to trip over a crack in the footpath and had cut both her knees. Luckily her powers, although limited as a quartarius, were enough to heal those small cuts but her jeans didn't bare so well. Elsa had returned home and changed, another pair of jeans, and then finally made her way to school. This time she had held her book closed in her hands and watched where she walked more carefully.

Elsa entered the school and walked past the car park. She could see Michael Stratos and Liam Barristan greeting each other from their trucks. Both boys were part of the 'in-crowd', a group that Elsa most definitely didn't belong to. Still, Michael was nice. He talked to her sometimes, despite the fact that they didn't have much in common.

Elsa turned her attention from the boys and continued across the car park. Her aim was the library, which was most easily accessed by passing around the school. Elsa passed groups of students, chatting happily together. Elsa had little friends at the school. Her main preoccupation was researching her angelic side, which didn't leave much room for socialising. Still, she could be friendly when she wanted to and now she smiled at a couple of girls who she thought were in her chemistry class. They seemed somewhat surprised but responded positively with a wave.

The library was, thankfully, open this early and surprisingly empty given the amount of activity at the school front. Elsa took a seat beside a large set of windows and drew out her homework. With a sigh she skimmed over the questions, realising that she probably would not even get one question done given the difficulty of the problems and her limited time.
She sat back in her seat and, with another sigh, muttered to herself, "Why do you do this to yourself, Elsa?"
