On her way to were the crowd was Nizhoni ran into Luis.
"I was just looking for you, we got some supplies in, you would know better about what we might need than I would. Would you mind stopping at the healing ward before we leave tomorrow?"
"Sure thing Luis, I'll-"
"Thanks Ni-Ni." he'd say, cutting her off with a wink and a small smile before walking towards the podium that looked over the crowd.
Nizhoni narrowed her eyes at Luis as if annoyed with his usage of "NiNi", but the huge smile on her face gave away the fact that she was actually more amused than anything else.
Luis's speech was more of the same, and Nizhoni spent more time observing peoples reactions to the words being spoken than looking up towards the podium. It always amazed her how easily people - herself included - fell in line to be followers, and the looks upon many of these peoples faces were the same looks people use to give her father, which made her sigh.
Soon enough Luis was done speaking, and Nizhoni would begin to aimlessly wander about - saying hi to random people and taking questions about her attire from the children, as usual, while Nubia ran about on her own. But when all the woman began to whisper "he's here, he's here!" she became curious and started to stare on in the same direction as them, that is until Conner walked by - causing her to roll her eyes a bit.
"What is it with these women and that man, you'd think he was a King or something." she'd wonder to herself, before pushing through the crowd of women.
She wouldn't get too far before again spotting Conner, but this time with a girl who was known for being rather bold & loose shoving her tongue down his throat.
"Lovely." Nizhoni would whisper aloud, before walking up towards a young man with a tray of water and grabbing a tall glass, which she'd down nearly half of before again taking off again into the festivities.
Coming to stop beside some laughing men and women she'd catch a glimpse of Bojangles being pulled by Kat towards an area were everyone was dancing, and couldn't help but laugh a bit herself before catching wind of Drew and Conner's voices behind her.
"What happened to your new little friend." she'd hear Drew ask Conner as she took a sip to drink, which nearly made her spit her water up from laughter, but after regaining her composure she'd turn around and walk towards both of them.
"Hey Drew," she'd say with a genuine smile, before looking over towards Conner. "Hi Conner, would you like my drink to wash your mouth out?"
Nizhoni would barely get the sentence out before she began to laugh.
"I'm sorry Conner, I just couldn't help myself." she'd let out in-between giggles. "Kudos to attracting loose women" she'd remark while holding up her glass towards Conner as if she was giving a toast, before taking a sip and looking back over to Drew.
"If you're looking for that woman I'd start with every available man in Utopia, she's known for well um, being loose....even the children call her 'Everybody's mama', but if that's what you want she's easy enough to get I suppose."
She'd have to bite her lip to keep herself from asking Drew if he was crazy for going after such a girl. To her he was better than that and she couldn't quite understand why he'd want to settle for such a trashy woman, but since she couldn't bring herself to actually say such a thing she'd instead turn around and stare over towards Kat and Bojangles again.
"Is it the Apocalypse all over or what? Kat dancing with Bo, I can't even begin to understand that one" she'd joke, while drinking the last of her water.
"Well, I think I'm gonna go to our little impromptu bar and get something to drink before I go for a swim, see you two later."
Nizhoni would smile and wave as she walked away, and once she caught sight of the table of drinks she'd pick up her pace.
"Nizhoni!"
"Bob! Nice to see you again!" she'd say to the older man standing behind Utopias version of a bar. "Have anything with bubbles?"
"Well you're actually lucky me and my boy like you so much, I'll go get some home brew for ya - just watch my table for me kay?"
She'd agree with a smile and make her way behind the table as the man walked off, It was the least she could do to watch his table at the offer of something other than the same ol' moonshine and water nearly everyone else was drinking. Ever since she was young Nizhoni had a thing for soda and beer, carbonation was a dear friend in her book.
