Unseen in the mortal world and detectable only as subtle influences, here the dark energies manifested as an amalgam of writhing souls interwoven as if threads and sown together with the sinews of their ghastly flesh. The composite of suffering assembled something of an animate tapestry, the whole moving as one as if no longer a body of individuals but a creature unto itself.
This monstrosity clawed at the blurred vicinity and used whatever leverage available to drag it's deformed mass across the vapory pavement. At it's center walked the maestro to it's composition, He seemingly unaffected by the abomination's existence and more concerned with the presence of the other who traversed this place.
