Devin took a small sip from her tea, the steam tickling the end of her nose. She liked the smell of the tea, the way the cream complimented it well. Her eyes remained on Jefferson's though, as he stared into her own gaze. Feelings grew warm inside her, a feeling she could not place. This boy was special, she had said to one of the doctors. Far more special that they would have ever known. But why was he so special? Simply because he opened her mind and heart? He gave her attention? Since he gave her attention that first day...she hadn't felt the need to flirt crazily with other doctors, but she felt the need to be with Jefferson in some shape or form. He gave her such a wave of feelings, sometimes she felt lightheaded or dizzy, but it was easily mistaken as the side effects from her medicine.

The young puppetgirl could see Jefferson's thoughts change as his eyes seemingly grew blank. He must be deep in thought, that much was for sure. But she didn't mind. She took this moment to think her own thoughts...back to where she took her prize so willingly, a kiss upon his person. Oh, she wished she could do that again. But would it put his body into another spasm? She didn't very much like to be the cause of the outcome, but she liked how he felt beneath her lips.

And so, Jefferson broke their silence and her train of thought. When he looked away, Devin felt her head bow as she took another sip from her tea. She did like it, very much so. It coaxed down the back of her throat and filled her whole body with a different kind of warmth. She smiled as she looked back up at Jefferson.

"I do, but..."

There was a pause. Was she to say what was on her mind? She already started the first half of her answer, might as well finish it right? But how would he take it? Those were questions that flooded her mind as she allowed her eyes to settle on his once more.

"Not as much as I do, you."
