"Well I like you too Devin!" Jefferson answer back in a happy, naive fashion. He grinned at her, sipping his tea merrily. It was strange of her to suddenly say she liked him, I mean, of course she liked him. He would not have tea with someone who did not! And of course he liked her too...unless...a blush unfolded across Jeffersons face. He practically choked on his tea as he set it down, peeking a nervous glance up at her.
She liked him? Well, h-he uh....he did too. He wanted to open his mouth and tell her exactly he thought, but that horribly twitch resurfaced on his left side again. Jefferson refrained from covering it, but a deep frown did cross over his features. He hated this, hated how he was. His twitching problem had not been this bad until the doctors had forced him to take these drugs and now it seemed that he could not go a whole conversation without breaking into a fit.
He needed to answer he properly, or else she would think him a dunce. Jefferson licked his lips, trying to think of a proper way of expressing himself. He opened his mouth, frowned, and closed it once more, then opened it again and made eye contact with her. If only she could read his mind some how, this whole thing would be a lot easier. The Hatter shut his mouth once more, staring at the girl across from him and letting a defeated sigh escape him. Well, he was officially the worst at wooing a girl.
