The Marque of Betannia
Muto was sad to see Ruthtaika seem so guilty, he made sure to give her a reassuring smile and tell her it was okay before she left. He wondered what was in store for him, seeing as the process for choosing a Marquette was usually always different with some similarities here and there. He just hoped that nothing too embarrassing were to happen, and seeing that Betan culture was getting at least slightly more modest, it seemed plausible that it wouldn't get too bad.
Muto went into his room, opening up files and paperwork that he had to go through. He was slightly concerned for how the people in Betannia were going to take the news of the war. He was sure that some had known of it as Ruthtaika did but there must have been many others that had no idea. But alas, he decided to put away his concerns and focus more on his work.
Unfortunately, he couldn't get barely any work completed due to the entrance of his personal adviser Cora. "Hello Muto," he said as he entered, holding a booklet in his hand that he placed on the table. "As your personal adviser I've been forced to assist you in the aspects of your suiting process," he said, obviously not pleased that he had to do this. Muto had known Cora since they were young, and knew he was trustworthy; no matter how agitated he would make himself seem when he had to help Muto, it was still pretty obvious that he wanted to do it anyways, to help his friend. "If you don't want to I can have someone else to do it," Muto said with a smirk, "It's fine! I might as well since I've already started," Cora said immediately after, further proving Muto's thoughts.
He flicked through the pages of the booklet, looking through the biographies and names of several of his suitors, stopping at one with a highly evident blush, "T-Tana's one of my suitors?" He stammered, she was another one of his childhood friends from back in the Divine Isle, he was extremely shocked to hear that she was one of his suitors. Cora's glared at Muto and rubbed his temples, "You do know she likes you right? I swear you may be smart but you're so blatantly oblivious to the feelings some people have for you," Cora groaned angrily. Muto was quiet for a moment, reflecting on it, "I guess you're right, I'll try to fix that," Muto said calmly, "Sooner better than later," Cora said, sitting down, beside Muto, peering over his shoulder to read along with him. Muto continued reading through the booklet, seeing what was in store for them.
Razdan
"Well it better get eventful soon because I'm dying here," Razdan said with a scowl as he sat down. Soon, two Templeraim introduced themselves, one male and one female. At first, Razdan wasn't sure if he heard what he thought he heard, but the wink definitely confirmed it. She was flirting with him. "Well, at least this is getting interesting now," Razdan whispered to himself with a sly smile as he exchanged a glance with the girl.
He sat back as everyone else spoke and instead was focusing more on the Templeraim girl. He made sure he wasn't too obvious when he looked at her, and pretended to be paying attention to the conversation going on around him rather than the physique of the girl standing in front of him. He wished that instead he could go with her and the other man to the river or wherever they were going, to be where the action was at...and maybe something more with Ruthumtya, but he was stuck here, babysitting, and the thought of it was killing him.
