He let out an unitentional growl. "I've been working all day on finding Amber, or her Chevalier, or a Chiropteran. Anything that could get us a lead. I just happen to crash into Katherine. What, you think it was my choice? Yeah I want to be near her, but I know the dangers. Remember I've been with her for twenty years." After that Shiki turned away from Nagari and focused his attention on Katherine.
