Devan waved her hand slightly as she heard Dusty make a comment. Now, it wasn't that she didn't like the guy, but just found he slightly annoying. When she heard his comment about her caring about health in a sarcastic way, she rolled her eyes. She cared about their health, but she knew if anything was wrong, someone would go up to Dusty and tell him. She walked at a medium speed toward the bar, her bat clenched in her right hand as she inched closer. When she heard Alicia catch up, she shot the girl a smile, raising an eyebrow slightly as she did then went back to looking at the bar. It had tinted windows but you could still see the black lights they had inside. It was one of those bars that would only be open at night and it would be so dark, you couldn't tell a man form a woman, though that made no difference to Devan.
When she heard what Alicia said about her bat-work, she turned to the girl with a sweet smile. "Why, thank you. I try." She said in a joking way with a flirtatious smile and ended with a small laugh as she walked up to the window. She put her bat between he knees then drew her hands up around her eyes to try to get a better look inside. All she could tell was that it was dark and had glowing blue lights. She smiled up at Alicia's question with a raised eyebrow. It's seems like no matter what she does, Devan always ends up raising an eyebrow at the girl. "I don't know." She said with a slight laugh as she grabbed her bat from between her knees. "Chances are around maybe seven to eight. But then this could always be one of those shirtless gay bars." Devan added, ending in a slightly flirtatious way as she walked over to Alicia then over to the door.
Opening the door let out a hideous smell that was a mix of alcohol, must, and rotting bodies. Devan wrinkled her nose slightly and clenched her bat a little harder before entering. She looked around and saw the bar close by. She scampered over, managing to run into a few chairs on the way over, and found switches behind the bar. She flipped the first one up and the turned all the normal lights in the main bar on while she said with a laugh "Let there be light!". She then took a quick glance of the place. There was dead bodies all around the place. The thing was, they all looked like they were just enjoying the bar. Some were sitting in groups at tables with shot glasses all around them, and three were at the bar tenders station were Devan was still clenching a shot glass. That made Devan think they were probably all drunk as fuck and got bit then just sat in here and died when the people who killed them came in and asked if they were bit.
After surveying the area and seeing that all seems to be dead...dead, Devan spins around and looks at all the drinks saying to herself "Let's see what's on thee menu.". There was the hard stuff, also known as Devan's favorites, which was the Tequila, Vodka, Brandy, Scotch, Rum, Gin, and Whisky. Then there was multiple wines and beers. Devan looked through everything and found a bottle of Lucas Vineyards Old Vine Zin, one of her favorite wines. She stuck that in her bag and proceeded to grab a few bottles of Tequila, Vodka, and Whisky.
Before looking around more, she decided she'd make her a drink. She learned recipes for many good tasting drinks, one in particular was a drink named Christmas in Mexico. Devan put of the ingredients in front of her. "Four shots of gold Tequila, three-fourth pint of cranberry juice, grenadine, lime, and cranberries." Devan said aloud to herself mostly as she took out a highball glass and the cocktail shaker and some ice. She was happy everything was untouched. She put the last three shots of Tequila, the cranberry juice, the grenadine, the lime, and the cranberries all in the cocktail shaker along with ice. She closed it up and shook it long and hard, making a sound of swishing fill the room. She looked at Alicia, who was probably looting the bodies. "Hey, Moon, you wanna' try something?" Devan said, a flirtatious smile on her face as she eyed the girl and shook the cocktail shaker.
Devan was a very flirtatious girl, as you could see. She knows it's the fight for survival, and it's obvious that no one wants to get close to people because anyone could die at any moment. But Devan still tries to get close to people, though she may not be able to actually trust them right away, she wants people to remember her when she's gone. She doesn't want to be forgotten, that's why she tries to be as loud, outgoing, and flirtatious as she is, weather it be the right thing to do or not. Out of everything that's going on, Devan's happy they're heading out of the city. Not because of safer surroundings, though that's a plus, but because of the fact she's certain that if her little brother is still alive, he'll be out there around their town. She hates to go see the place, but it was destined to happen to all of them eventually to return home at least once on their journeys, right?
