Sammy ran over to her father the second Jane had let her out of the car seat. She wasn't shaken by the accident anymore, and even the bump on her head wasn't bothering her. In her four year old excitement, she'd even left her blankie in the car, which she never did. Sammy grabbed her fathers hand, tugging it as if asking him to lean down. When her father obliged, Sammy whispered in his ear. "A'mind Thammy to never ever never make Janey mad...it wath awethom that Janey fighted off the bad guy...but Thammy don't wanna get yelled at like that,"

Jane laughed, walking over to them. "Yes, and I still managed to not cuss, thus not breaking my 24 year streak of not cussing," Darrin gave her a confused, almost shocked look. "Yes, in the 24 years I've been alive, I've never used one curse word. The worst I've said is c-r-a-p," She spelt out the last word, smiling slightly.

Jane thought back to the moment that Darrin had said he didn't want to get on her bad side. "Mr. Reed, no one wants to be on my bad side," She said, remembering that he was her employer, and she should treat him as so. She'd called him Darrin on the road, but only because she was scared half to death.

Sammy looked up at Jane and laughed. "Thammy think that it funny Janey callth Daddy "mister"," she giggled, still clutching Darrin's hand. Sammy looked at Taylor and tagged him with her other hand. "Tag! You it!" She said as she ran off toward a small grove of trees.

"Stay where your father and I can see you!" Jane called after them. "Okay Janey, Thammy and Taylor will!" Sammy called over her shoulder as she ran. Jane then fell into step to the left and almost a half step behind Darrin. She watched the two children closely, and without looking at Darrin, she spoke. "Don't worry, Mr. Reed," She started, smiling to herself. "You'll be needing to buy larger clothes soon," Even she had noticed his clothes hanging loosely.
