Thankfully, the it was only sunset.
The bright yellow sun drifted down behind the horizon, creating hues that shifted from a bright yellow, to a deep magenta, then to a dark purple, before fading to a deep blue dotted with distant white lights overhead. The buildings that composed the view and their giant shadows that loomed behind them were captivating.
It was too bad that Kou couldn't admire them. He was filled with worry, wondering where Misato could have gone.
Shintinabe was dangerous at this time of day, and that concerned the fiery haired magus. His red eyes drifting back and forth across the landscape as he ran with panicked feet, frantic footsteps echoing through the abandoned district.
"Misato!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, twisting and turning through the alleyways.
"Misato?!! Where are you!?!" He called out in vain, hos voice growing hoarse with each yell.
It wasn't until beads of sweat collected at his brow, and he had all but lost his breath that he caught sight of the girl, standing on an overpass, looking at the sunset.
"Misato..." He said meekly with relief, before running up to where she was.
