Ash remembered the day they had won big like it was only a few days ago, everything had been so ordinary, so every day. She had gotten out of bed after repeatedly snoozing her alarm a good five or six times, giving her minimal time for outfit choices and makeup, let alone breakfast. She had gone to soccer practice that morning, spent most the day at her waitressing job, yeah, not glamorous but it got the bills paid, and spent the late afternoon running training for a local basketball team she coached. It wasn't until she arrived home to hear the message Em had left on her answering machine that everything turned all topsy turvy.
Now, they were all billionaires and on a trip of a lifetime, first stop - Italy. If Ash was being honest Italy wouldn’t have been her first preference of travel locations. Which was something Ash had said to the girls, but well she wasn't one to fight a losing battle, at least not one against five anyway. Though she was even less thrilled about inviting Mike and Marcus, like yeah she'd talked to them before and got along with them alright but they were not 'let's go on a trip to Italy' close.
Emily, Danielle, Jayson and her had all been in one cab and when they finally got to the hotel, "La Rosa sul fiume Hotel", all Ash wanted to do was check in and enjoy what her. She had that grungy, dirty feeling from the plane ride, and no matter what people tried to tell you, being a billionaire did not make early mornings easier. After waking up late as usual, and unpacked, Ash was forced to forgo makeup and any real outfit planning in fear of missing her plane. Okay that was a lie, she skipped breakfast on order to spend a little bit of time on makeup, but only minimal. Hence she just really wanted to get to her room and spend some time freshening up and making herself pretty. Oh, and the grandeur of the hotel kind of fluttered into the outer rims of her consciousness at some point.
"Anyone heard from the others?" Dani asked, directing her question to Ash and Jay. "Dude, I don't have a phone. Remember?" Ash replied nonchalantly, she realised that she was the abnormal one in not having a phone, rather than Dani assuming she did. She never bothered to get one, it had never been a money thing, Ash has just always had the hatred/dislike for technology, it just isn't her favourite thing. Besides if someone actually wanted to talk to her they could leave her a message on her home phone, life like friendship shouldn't be all about efficiency.
After Em announced that the others would catch up later, Ash let out an annoyed sigh. "Really, trust those four to not even make it to hotel without any hiccups." Ashlyn was already going to take off the rooms before Em said anything, but her departure was stunted by two guys from the holiday, or at least they seemed like they were from the hotel. Either way they both seemed really friendly. "Oh, I'm Ashlyn, and these guys are Danielle, Jayson, and Emily." She said to the guys, introducing each of the other three girls one at a time, as one of them took her bag off of her.
"So what is it with this place? Are you guys are related or something?" Ash said humorously as the two guys showed them to the front desk. She couldn't not say it, after all these guys were cousins, and one of them was cousins with the girl of the front desk, how many more of them was she supposed to be expecting exactly?
