"What can I say, I'm a man of experience." Emily chuckled and turned back around. She knew he was being romantic, and, well, she didn't mind. God, what was she doing? Was she finally going to accept it and just go with her heart? Or was she going to continue being afraid and talk herself out of it?

While she was deep in thought, Devon kissed her neck softly and she jumped, not expecting the action. Devon put his hand on her chin and pulled her face up. She let him, not really knowing where this moment was heading. She noticed his brief glance at her lips, and grew afraid. Was she going to have to tell him the same thing again? But his next words practically knocked the air out of her. "Emily, I really like you." Her eyes widened and she turned around so she was facing him completely. Bringing her knees up, she rested her head on them and looked at him again with her big, blue eyes, hoping this wasn't some scam.

"Do you really mean that? Or are you still just interested in the chase?" She held her breath, waiting for his answer that she hoped was what she wanted to hear, and what also was the truth.
