As he brushed the hair away from her face, she took in a breath as he kissed her cheek, but nothing more. It was romantic and sweet, and she knew it was meant to be. Not as some preempt to a one night stand or something like that. "Even if it would be in my best interest, I won't say something unless I mean it. And I swear that this is no exception." He caressed her cheek, and she leaned her face into his hand, liking the gentleness of the action and the sincerity of it. "Please say that you believe me."

She blew out a breath and untucked her legs, splaying them out so she was sitting in a straddle in front of him. Closing her eyes briefly, she nodded and looked at him again. "I believe you. And I really like you too." She smiled softly at him, and she knew that they had crossed a bridge in their relationship. She just didn't know where it would lead.
