Devon was slightly holding his breath, and he hated it. He hated that she was making him act this way instead of himself. It felt so weird. But at the same time, it just made him like her more. He watched her blow out and readjust her position. When she closed her eyes and nodded, he felt a weight being lifted off of his chest. "I believe you. And I really like you too." she smiled, and he felt himself naturally smile back.

Instead of speaking, he lifted her up onto his lap, pulling her in close to him. He wrapped his arms around her, burying his head into her shoulder. "You just made me happier than you could ever imagine." he spoke softly to her, lifting his face to look at her. Without another word, he pressed his lips to her. He had been waiting a little too long for that, and he couldn't force himself to wait any longer. It was so hard to contain himself when he was around her, especially in moments like this.
