As Omega stood in the clearing waiting he detected another signal from Thylan directed to nearby humans, he was probably trying to contact Forevermore and Ace. Though most people would call what he does spying he just considers it a way to make his job easier. Listening in on communications was a good way to tell if anyone was hurt or in trouble. Omega decided he would keep listening to the human's signals and if they were in trouble they can't handle he would go off and help them.
