It wasn't too long before Maria had gotten her food. It looked like mashed potatoes, though it looked...off. It gave off the vibe that it would taste bad to anyone that ate this and wasn't used to it, while at the same time edible. Maria thought to herself that the school was trying to kill them as a joke. After removing her focus from the food and to the lunchroom, what little amount of tables there were were had either filled as she thought, or had people that gave off a feeling of negativity that made her not want to sit near them. It wouldn't be off if Maria was just overthinking things either, seeing as this school was meant for trouble students. Not wanting to sit with many people around, she walked towards a wall, and sat on the floor, against the wall. Next to her was a boy with a pure-white complexion, but she hadn't noticed, she was too busy getting ready for the first bite out of the bad food.
