Cassandra's car rattled down the road that would lead to her new home for the year. It was a very old car, though it had been rebuilt when the time came, but Cassandra loved it none the less. It was a canary-yellow 1966 VW 21 window Samba. She had gotten it for her birthday one year prior, and had been ecstatic. The thing was like driving-legal history. Plus it only broke down every once in a while and could carry an army by just the size of it. Her six oversize suitcases finally stopped bumping around as she pulled to a stop in the front of the house. Most of the suitcases were for books- four of them at least. She had a book on almost every point in history, it looked like, from Musical history to the history of letters to mythology and history of the Greek empire. The other two were a toss up- one reserved for her clothing, and the other reserved for clothing, shoes, a small whiteboard, a small cork board, and her computer.

Cassandra unloaded two of the suitcases from the third row of seats, leaving the other four for her second trip back. She walked quickly to the unlocked door, hoping in the recesses of her mind she would be alone in the house. She is not the luckiest person in the world, apparently, as another was already inside. She wanted to be cordial, but she had forgotten to take medicine with all the packing and she could change emotions quickly- she didn't want to subject anyone to that, though thankfully she could take more in just under 30 minutes. She said hello as she ducked her head and rushed to the nearest open room, throwing the bags on in the possess. She rushed back out as soon as she came in, a flurry of yellow dress and red scarf.

Sooner rather than later all of her luggage was open on her bed, and her door locked tight. With only a closet (which now held all manner of dresses from her favorite points in recent history, as well as shoes), dresser (which held her more durable things), a desk, and a bed, she did not have nearly enough spaces for her books. She would be walking all over them. She had arranged stacks already, with books under the desk and beside it, and almost everywhere around the small window seat that faced out near her car. She could see herself reading in it and didn't want to have anything in the way of that.

"The history of literature," she read to herself before placing it carefully onto the 'creative history' pile. Other piles included 'Ancient history', 'Books about myths only', 'fiction', and 'A.D history', among others. Most of the piles were already getting pretty tall- with the tallest ('Ancient history') reaching to her waist, with a smaller stack of the same theme so nothing fell over up to the middle of her lower leg. She was almost done though, with only two books to go, which were put in their respective piles soon enough. After that, she collapsed onto the bed and grabbed the book she was currently reviewing and began reading.
