The way he froze was impossible not to notice. Sophie reminded herself not to do that again. What was it with him? Did he have a problem with physical contact or something? That's not my problem, I'll just not do that again. She told herself, though it was annoying her a little. She had just tried to be friendly. Then again, when Sophie thought about it, she wouldn't want someone to do that to her when she had just met them. She just hadn't figured that Nori was like that. Sure, he was shy and all that, but who wouldn't be in his situation? The urge to apologize to him suddenly presented herself, but she resisted. Best not to mention it anyway.

As he told her about how long he had been singing for, she couldn't help but look surprised. That was a long time, so she figured that Nori was pretty good now. Sophie herself couldn't sing. "Impressive." She let out and nodded. However, Nori didn't say why he had stopped and so she thought that maybe it was something she should avoid commenting. She was just so curious. Apparently, he had won several competitions, Nationals even. Sophie always liked watching and listening to people that were good at what they did, so naturally this impressed her. "Sure, I'd like to see them some day." She said, though a part of her wondered if Nori would ever show her.
Despite the fact that he was talking to her and seemed like he was fine with it, and enjoyed it, something in the back of her head registered that some part of Nori, felt otherwise. It seemed like there was something in him that was a little reluctant, though it was masked with shyness and awkwardness. That could just be you over analyzing, you know? Sophie told herself and shrugged, glancing over at him.

A few moments went by in silence as the two of them watched the TV. Sophie was again searching for something to say, but she had never been really good at talking to people. Coming up with topics of interest was hard for her, unless they were painfully obvious. Nori's question came a bit sudden. She tilted her head and looked at him. "What sort of clubs?" She asked, just to be sure of what he meant. Sophie had once been in a reading club, though not anymore. She herself had become a bit of an introvert, though probably not as much as Nori. Recently, she had visited a gaming club as well a few times. The people there hadn't really been her cup of tea though, so she was unsure of whether she wanted to continue.
