Yuki couldn't help but fidget under the Pureblood's impatiently concerned gaze, any feelings of being protected melting away. Vampires..are scary..! whispered the child's voice, fear and terror making it quake. Trying to brush away such silliness, the Guardian focused on evening out her breathing and calming her heart.. though it was next to impossible with an imposing figure being so close. "What are you not telling me, Yuki. I can see the fear in your eyes. Tell me what is wrong and I will eliminate that fear that is haunting your well being" mused his imploring tone, a sense of comfort soon following. Before the human even had a chance to respond, the powerful creature reached towards her, delicately brushing a stray strand of her auburn waterfall behind her ear.
The small motion was enough to make her throat run dry and body to jolt in shock. It was as if the second his finger had trailed across her cheek, every memory ever involving a vampire flooded her mind. And most of them were not pleasant. Vampires....they are scary..! The vampires...they'll eat me..! screeched the child's voice once more, it's tone louder and more prominent than before. It was then that Kaname had gently lifted her chin with his index finger, tilting it in such a way that it exposed her neck..however, that wasn't what had her pulse go into overdrive. It was the connection of their eyes. Crimson met rust and worry met fear for a spilt second until it was broken. As if this human girl gazed upon something indecent, something forbidden, her gaze suddenly flickered to the side as a blush colored her cheeks once more.. it was almost as if she was rejecting him. I..why...why can't I bring myself to look Kan-kaname-sama in the eyes?! panicked her inner voice, visibly cringing once more hearing his accusing words.
"You're still giving blood to that Kiryuu-" resonated his tone, the heated stare now trailing down to the fresh bite wounds marring her neck. In that second, feeling her savior's orbs latch onto what marked her as Zero's, Yuki couldn't help but feel butterflies within her stomach. And that was what terrified her the most, not knowing how nor why she felt them. "It's..m-my choice, K-kaname-sama...Yo-" the shaking words were abruptly ended feeling two of his tapered fingers rest on the holes and his body close the space between them.
Her heart immediately sunk into her stomach as the Dorm President leaned towards her ear, her mind now screaming for her both to flee and stay. But nonetheless, despite his record of never harming her or touching her relentlessly, the Guardian couldn't deny she felt fear polluting her emotions."Such filthy fangs should not puncture your pure porcelain skin." whispered his true thoughts, each syllable caressing her eardrums and imprinting their way onto her mind. Unconsciously, the human still had her neck exposed and tilted upward, almost frozen in place.. almost expecting something to occur. And that sneaking suspicion was right. The Pureblood had fluidly shifted so his face was nestled into her alabaster neck, his lips lightly moving against the fang marks. At this point, her mind still trying to figure out how she was suppose to react, her heart was beating in an off manner, anxiety mixed with fear now permeating her aura. FIGHT BACK! screeched the child's voice once more as she suddenly become further away of the perilous situation she currently was stuck in. "Disgrace to all vampires" sang his strong words, they only being slightly muffled by her neck.
It was then something within the Guardian snapped. Perhaps it was the way he was talking about Zero or perhaps it was the way he was blatantly criticizing her choices, but Yuki's temper suddenly shifted. Without fully realizing what she was doing, the human raised her right hand above her head before swiftly bringing it down and against Kaname's cheek. Giving a wince at the instant stinging in her own hand, Yuki murmured out reproachfully, slightly loathing, "Kaname-sama...it's my, and Zero's, own choice. Don't call him a disgrace or filthy." A few seconds had passed before the full shock of what she had just done sunk in, immediately her mind went to praying it was a dream. Glancing down at the bright red print marring the Pureblood's flawless features and the throbbing on her own palm, Yuki's hope for this being a dream was shattered. Instinctively opening her mouth to apologize, a flash of worry and horror struck her core realizing no words were able to come out.
