What was inside of the door amazed him. It was something he had never seen before. Everywhere he looked, the color velvet was there. The interior was quite empty as there was only two chairs, a small round table and a couch of the same velvet color. A giant mechanism operated behind the couch. It ticked and swung like a clock of old times. The silent gongs of the clock was the only thing that had sounded in the room.
However, they weren't alone. There, on the couch, was a pointy-nosed old gentleman gray pin-striped suit and white gloves. His mouth stretched into a smile before introducing himself. "Welcome, to the Velvet Room... My name, is Igor, but before I say anything, please, take a seat..."
He motioned for the pair to sit and so Kayama followed suit. He sat down on the left chair and found the chair more comforting than it looked. However, he was more keen on this... mysterious old man. His voice was exceptionally high and in his every speech there existed dramatic drag. He crossed his fingers under his long pointy nose as he stared the two high school students.
"Now...Before anything....This must be said. You pair are not dead... just simply asleep." He paused, before continuing. "Your minds have entered the dreamscape known as Tayles....Have you two heard of that before? Your Personas was calling out to you, were they not?"
So the voices before were his "Persona" and that they were "calling out" to him? Kayama recalled his dream. He remembered that his "Persona" said that they were gonna conquer a world. What was it talking about? Could it have been Tayles, the "dream world" like Igor had explained? Suddenly, something hit him. It was a weird feeling, like a bulb went on in an instant or a tick. The pres answered the old man's question and Kayama turned at her.
"If you mean the voice that talked to us earlier... then yes... I've heard whatever you said."
Ryuka looked as if she thought her answer was weird and that it's no matter as long as it showed that she wasn't crazy. Kayama turned his head back to Igor, who had a wider smile than the last time. He suspected that this mysterious old man must know everything that has been happening to them. He had a lot of questions for him but before he could even try to speak, the old man interrupted.
"And you? Have you heard the voice of your Persona?"
He did. In fact, not long ago, he had learn something about this "Persona" of his. Kayama concentrated on his answered and sat back with his arms and legs crossed. He closed his eyes for a moment and opened them later again, an answer in his eyes. "Verethragna," He paused and continued,"Verethragna, the Persian god of Victory. That's his name, although that's all I know."
