Jared walked over to help Cana with building the fire. He knew how to build a basic fire, so he helped assemble the wood in a circle. When it was done he stepped aside and took a few pieces of wood to the side of the cave to keep them from burning and to store them for future use.
He then stood up and brushed his hands off.
“Well, that should work for now. I’m glad we all have some type of supply.” he said. Becoming aware that he was the only one who had not introduced himself, he added, “Also, my name’s Jared.”
At this, he placed the bag of strawberries on the ground, slightly ajar and wandered outside to make sure no one was around.
