Maki could barely hold still in class, the part she hadn't taken a nap in anyways. Maki usually couldn't keep a secret because she'd end up telling Tomoka or her sister accidentally. But this was a secret, one that warmed her heart and gave her a soft smile. She was ready for lunch for more than one reason.
"Stop kicking your legs! Why are you so excited?" Maki's friend's Sora and Yume walked up. Maki was the type to be friends with everyone but these two were her best friends. "Secret!" Maki giggled. Yume's brown hair cascaded down her shoulders to her knees as she undid her ponytail to put it back up- a nervous habit of hers.
"Maki has a boyfriend?" Sora smirked. "What! Who is it, Kyouya?" Yume asked with her usual genuine attitude. "Not telling! Let's go to lunch, I'm ready for the cake!" Maki cheered, pumping her hand in the air as Sora rolled her eyes.
They walked down the hallway, cheerfully ever. Hmmm. Where's Ryoko?
