Rosalinda shook her head as her her old friend breezed into her room."What's up? Shouldn't you be down at the party... you know-- mingling with the people... one of which you have to marry?" she pointed at her before mentioning how attractive her suitors were. "Come on. There are some of those suitors who I wouldn't mind spending my life with. Mind if I have your leftovers? I don't mind picking up after you. Or, you know, we could share?" she offered before giggling and setting the tube back on the vanity. Rose sighed "Yeah they're hot," She said thinking about them " But I wanna fall in love," She clutched her friends hand to her heart "Like a fairytale."
Just as she let go and spun to her full size mirror Alex walked in "Hello Evette, fancy seeing you here. Knowing you that's what you're wearing at the gala?" Rose rolled her eyes as she tutted "Can't you just wear a dress at least. It's an important event for the family you know"
Rose put her hand on her hip, knowing she was next. "I like the dress but isnt that showing too much of your assests dear? Wear a cardigan or a shawl. It will get cold tonight or are you just counting on the suitor's body heat to keep you warm?" Rose blushed realizing she probably heard their conversation. Rose threw her arm around Alex, "Well I can fix both of those problems. One we all are wearing different dresses to the gala, I already have my gown and one for you," Then she walked into her closet and pulled out three wrapped gift boxes "And here's a solution to Evette's outfit " She walked over to her bed and pulled out the dress, heels, and clutch outfitfrom the boxes "Tada!" She squealed. She then walked back into her closet and grabbed a cropped jacket that was grey, " Ok now I'm going to take your advice and greet people. Meet us outside in that dress. " She then pressed a button and two women walked in. "Curl her hair and do it in an amazing style." She said before turning on her heels and heading out the door, "C'mon Alex lets find me a man," She said as she strut out the door, returned, did a saucy pose, and strutted down the hallway.
On her way out she spotted Xavier, Katherine, and Anais. "You guys look amazing," she said as she walked up to them. "Headed to the party?" She asked though she was squirming, she could Alex's disapproving glance at her cleavage so she pulled her hair to the front, making it spill down her chest. "Have any of you seen my brother or father, they always show up later. And I refuse to go down there without a buffer for my mothers wrath. " She clasped her hands and gasped " Xavier she adores the thought of us being wed and won't turn into a hellish beast around you. Care to join me?" She asked but before he could answer she steered him toward the stairs.
As they walked outside she could feel the gazes and murmuring around them, "Ignore that," She mumbled plastering on a smile "They're trying to see if you've won my favor." She waved halfheartedly at some guest before spotting a curly headed girl sneaking treats, "Sweet Pea!" She exclaimed picking the girl up. "Xavier you know my half sister?" She asked pecking a kiss on the girls cheek leaving a faint red mark. The girl rubbed her cheek and groaned "Rose, stop it!". She turned to Xavier then back to rose "Are you gonna marry this one?" The girl asked "Dunno' yet." Rose shrugged.
