Wendy opened her eyes. She'd finally managed to fall asleep, and then of course Peter would stick his head in. She didn't have the heart to resent it, but she was too tired to process that at the moment.

"Mmm. Kind of. What's going on?" Might as well get up rather than have him in her bedroom.

Rubbing her eyes, Wendy sat up. She was wearing a cami and shorts pajama set that she should have resigned for the year, given the temperatures, but she liked it too much. Her mother had given it to her the last Christmas, it was a rather nice blue silk set that, for all that, wasn't so scanty Wendy felt like she had to wear a t-shirt over it in bed just to be decent for her dreams. Yawning and stretching, she slid over to the side of the bed and swung her feet down to put her slippers on. That done, she walked to the door and patted Peter absentmindedly on the head. More petting his hair than anything else, but she was pretty tired.

"If we're going to talk, I'm going to need some tea," she said through a yawn. "Lots of tea. Liters of it." Passing him on her way to the kitchen, she put the kettle on with her eyes all but closed. Looking through the cupboard, still not quite awake, she took out a tea that was just enough to keep her awake, but not enough to keep her up the whole night. She got out a cup and a saucer for Peter as well, and passed him some nibbles.

"So, my friend," she said, sitting down at the kitchen table to wait for the kettle to boil. "What's keeping you up tonight? The obvious? I assure that if we can't get this method to work, it won't take long before we can find another one. Alice and I have a very unique skill set, and one of them seems to be getting travelers... home." Thankfully the kettle whistled so Wendy could get up and pour the tea for them. She sat a cup and saucer in front of Peter. Even if he didn't want it, which was fine, she didn't want to leave him without tea while she enjoyed it. Besides, it was good for him.

Home. Where was home, really? Peter had made his thoughts on the matter plain, but looking into his dear old face in the wee hours of the morning. Wendy wasn't so sure where hers was. She had won adulthood by sweat, blood, and tears. Could she leave it again? She guessed the real question was, if home is where the heart lies... where was hers?
