I hear shrieking and strange buzzing fill the air.
"C-Cicadas?" I've only heard of the creatures in school. They overtook the Rhino beetles. Ah-de feels the same confusion and concern as I do. He takes out a bow and arrows, prepared to shoot down any flying creatures attacking. A cicada approaches me, his red eyes watching my every move.
"Ah, I haven't seen another species in 17 years! My name is Nhymet" he bows in respect. Strange, I expected them to be savages considering they brutally took over the rhino beetles.
Soon, Nhymet directs a huge cloud of flying cicadas to attack the tribe. I've only been taught how to fight once, by my sister. I can't fight these creatures. I reach for Ah-de's hand for comfort, he's trained in fighting, he is second in command for the army.
I look over to everyone in the tribe, we must defend this tribe.
