Freya sat up with a yell the intercom having wrenched her very successfully from a rather unpleasant dream she had been having. She didn't get nightmares often but when she did boy were they mean. She pushed a sweaty lock of her long red hair out of her face and rubbed her eyes. She then looked down to see that all of her bedding had been burned to shreds during the night, no doubt due to her heightened emotional state during the dream. At least that was what the scientists would say in today's meeting. Freya cursed loudly really not looking forward to having her faults exposed for all the world to see, especially to her team. How was she supposed to be their strong, fearless leader of the geeks in white coats told them her weaknesses? These were not new thoughts to her and she allowed herself a moment more to rant silently before acknowledging that she really should get out of the bed.

She headed straight for the shower needing to wash the sweat, bits of burned paper and bad memories down the drain. She turned the spray onto boiling and stood under it with her eyes closed enjoying the warmth against her skin. Being a freak had its upsides, she found it really hard to scald herself in the shower. With a sigh of regret she left her small piece of heaven and dressed for the meeting. Jeans first along with a long T-shirt with a picture of Metallica on it and thigh high black boots with lots of laces and buckles. She yanked her drying hair back into a loose braid and then left the room.

"Good Morning Freya." Orgia said in a typical robotic monotone.

"Mornin Org." Freya replied treating the machine like the old friend/enemy that it was. She walked into the meeting room to see Alex already there tinkering with stuff as usual. She ruffled the others girls hair affectionately before heading up to the table reserved for the team leaders. She slid into the seat next to Damien and raised an eyebrow at him.

"Well damn this is a first, what the hell happened to get you out of bed and on time? Is the world ending again already?" She said with a grin.
