Before you is a massive sprawling city scape, far beyond the eye can see and leagues down towards the earth. The passing sun sets thousands of reflective fires that dart about your eyes and the sounds of countless souls can be heard from within.
“Despicable.” Eyes red like blood surveyed the vast city that he considered fit to be the throne of an empire spanning all worlds but he only felt contempt for the critters that hid in their large cold nests. How strange this alien realm was, with ships that sailed through the air instead of the sea and living machines when he had only known ashes and the mighty spells that suddenly felt useless to him compared to this overwhelming world of machines and magic. Elruin shook his head frustrated with these treacherous thoughts and empty contemplation in the end he had to resist this nonsense that infested his mind. The machines may be strong but the people were weak, childish and spoiled as they walked the streets until they would one day drop dead worthless and pointless. He checked the spell that protected his robes from the wind’s grasp more out of habit than anything else because he knew it would last for another hour by then he would walk the halls of the lord of Creed. Mightier lords than his own had summoned him and he had complied now he stood there defying the wind as he observed Creed a beacon of the pride of his people with his imposing stature.
The end of his boring journey approached as the ship slowed down and stopped he almost showed how pleased he was to leave the air and finally feel some solid ground under his feet. Elruin had burned the position of the gangplank in his mind when he had entered the ship marking it magically now he had to remember this image guiding raw and wild energy careful not to disturb his inner flow he turned his body into light. Teleportation doesn't have to be be unpleasant but it was the way Elruin did it, he emerged from thin air feeling like his entire body was on fire but this quickly faded after the spell had finished rebuilding the smallest parts of his body. Elruin marched over the gangplank ignoring a man that had to be some kind of noble as he emanated a feeling of superiority expected from a Ash fiend as gifted in magic as he was. The blue robed magician walked towards the noble only to turn around towards the ship ignoring him. The game was on he told himself and riches, fame and glory was the prize now he just had to learn if the other players where his allies or enemies.
