"But right now, there is no place I'd rather be...than beside you."
Warmth.
That is what she felt at this very moment, spreading through her limbs towards her heart. She felt it clench, but not because she hurt. It felt as if there was a butterfly fluttering around in her heart, and it was a pleasant feeling. She could hear Snow laughing in the back of her mind as she closed the link, still listening to his voice echoing through. Something about Sora's words caused her to feel as if everything was alright, that there could be nothing wrong with the world, as twisted and demented as it was. That everything that had happened to them, everything they have been through, it didn't matter. Nothing mattered to her at all, just the boy in her arms, the vampire whom she had come to be fond of. Some part of her wondered if they would have ever been this way in the first place.
The only reason she knew Sora to begin with was because of their occasional banters, their arguments. And the only reason they were close was because of the events that happened. Would she have cared this much about him if those events never happened? Would she still feel the satisfied feeling of her thirst because of his blood? Would he have even offered? So many questions that held no answer, ran through her mind, however; they were all chased away when his fangs caressed her neck. She could hear the soft poke of her flesh, the popping noise it made when he pierced her. She tensed slightly before allowing her body to relax, smiling in the process.
"You've always been an idiot, Sora," she finally responded, smiling and adjusting herself so that it was more comfortable for the both of them. "But I promise, I will never leave you. I will remain with you for as long as I can...I" she paused in her words as he released himself, her wound closing almost instantly. He stared at her, her own jade eyes staring back into his ruby ones. There was something behind his eyes, something she couldn't quite place. It caused her heart to pick up its pace, beating faster. It felt as if she couldn't breathe, that she was suffocating on some unknown force, but it wasn't unpleasant, not in the slightest. She opened her mouth to say something, however; she couldn't find the words, her mind drawing a blank as his mouth covered hers.
She had kissed him once, technically twice, before, but this was different. There was a touch of gentleness to his, and somehow, she wanted more. She wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning further into it. She responded to it, deepening it as much as she could with a certain kind of hunger that she couldn't explain. Her hands found their way to the back of his head, pushing their faces closer together. The feeling spreading through her, it was like a carnal desire to consume the one she had, the one her lips were connected to. She felt exposed, open, and she didn't care. He had taken her blood, understood something that she was scared of sharing with anyone else, and had accepted her still. She understood the feeling a lot stronger now, but there was still a bit of hesitance.
What would become of them now? She couldn't go back, not now, and she wasn't sure she wanted to. All she wanted now, was to remain here in his arms, in his embrace, in his possession. It was a foreign feeling, and it scared her somewhat. It was evident in the kiss they shared as it became more possessive, hungering for more, yet, there was still a hint of hesitance, a hint of fear. She promised that she wouldn't leave him, that she would be with him, but how much longer would she be able to? Anything could happen to them within the next few seconds, days, weeks. Nothing was for certain, only that anything can and will happen. But then, somehow, he managed to chase away those thoughts by simply being here with her. If possible, she deepened their kiss even more, closing any remaining distance between them so that they were pressed tightly against each other, consequences be damned and thrown to the wind.
