Lyani sat quietly on her bed, her eyes closed as she tried to imagine another world, but since her power was blocked, it was kind of hard. She could imagine some small things but it was nothing like when she could use her powers. It was so much different. Nothing looked real. It was frustrating, it made her angry. She opened her eyes and took a deep breath. She shook her head to clear her mind and looked around. She saw Jun being escorted by guards and rolled her eyes.
Recalling one morning in her family, the morning that she as first introduced to the life of being a servant. That morning had been horrible since she'd been yelling and screaming against her parents because she didn't want to be a servant. She'd been beaten and had been lying in the hospital for a weak before she returned home. After several weeks of beatings and hospitals she finally submitted and did as she was told. She hated every moment of it, but she rarely dared to go against the orders of her family. Ever since, while her brother and sister were treated like royals, she was treated like a servant worth for nothing. This continued until she was about twelve, when her powers started to truly develop. Finally, she was send away to the facility.
She shivered at the memory and closed her eyes. How could her parents do that to her? Lyani still didn't understand why, why her and why not her brother or sister. Or why not all of them? Maybe her parents would have loved her then. It was a painful reminder of the cruel world she lived in, the world she so badly wanted to escape, but couldn't because her powers were blocked. She hated this place and everyone in it, though she pitied every other tyrant here. Maybe some day they could escape? She hoped so, there must be a way.
In the mean while, there was nothing to do but keep herself entertained. She closed her eyes again and started meditating once more, thinking of a green world with crystal blue oceans. The sun that was always a comfortable warmth and bright. Trees were always growing old, until their hundredths or even thousands in years. Creatures that lived peacefully, no creature too small and no creature too big. Fascinating creatures that could only be created by the mind. Creatures that would never exist. Dinosaurs, adapted and mutated to a more impressive look.
She tried her best, her marks faintly glowing as she tried. It was exhausting since her powers were blocked, it took a lot more energy to actually create a world as real as it was now. And she could only hold it for so long. Deciding it was too tyring, she gave up. She sighed deeply, truly annoyed.
